We’ve finished with our maths competition…and the results are in!
Both maths classes, 1A and 1B, have been competing amongst themselves in a variety of maths-related games these past few weeks. Both classes were divided into four groups of three or four students, and each group nominated one member to partake in each of the four competitive games. The four games were:
1. Line Jumper
2. Race Against the Clock
Each of these four games were related to integers, and required the participants to use speed as well as their knowledge of mathematics to gain points.
In the photos below, you can see the teams of each class and the order in which they ranked within their class.
The students of 1A have named Group A their winners! This group consisted of David, Nerea, Alberto, and Laura. David contributed four points to his team in Line Jumper, Nerea contributed four in Race Against the Clock, Alberto contributed three in Bubbles, and Laura contributed three points in Space Ships. Group A received a total score of fourteen points! Great job!
In second place was Group D. The members of this group were Ziro, Casiano, and Juanchi. They were awarded eleven points altogether.
In third place was Group C (Juan, Antonio, Arturo, and Luis), with ten points.
Group B came in fourth place, with nine points. Its members were Iván, Dani, Aroa, and Iván.
In class 1B, Group A won first place with a total score of thirteen points. Marina, Carlos, and Diego earned three points for their team each – in Line Jumper, Race Against the Clock, and Bubbles – and Diego earned four points for his team in Spaceships. Nicely done, Group A!
Group C earned ten points collectively and was awarded second place. This group consisted of Joaquín, José Manuel, Alberto, and Antonio.
Alejandro, José Antonio, Angeles, and Edu were awarded nine points total for their group, Group D. They came in third place.
And Group B came in fourth place, with a total score of eight points. This group had Jesús, Pablo, Paula, and Ana as its members.
The scores in both classes were very close! Very well done, to each and every group!
